Support the next generation of artists in memory of Olivia Parson

The Olivia Parson Award was established in memory of Olivia Parson by her family, friends and colleagues, with founding support from Kitt and YEP (You & Everyone in Property).

Delivered by Acme, this annual award supports an early career fine artist at a pivotal moment in their development, providing the time, space and resources needed to establish a professional studio practice and build the foundations for a sustainable career.

The recipient will join a year-long programme based at Acme's Billet Road studio building, working from a rent-free shared studio alongside a cohort of fellow early career artists. The award forms part of Acme's Early Career Awards programme, established in 2013 to help emerging artists make the transition from education into professional practice. The programme is delivered in partnership with donors and leading institutions including Goldsmiths (University of London), the Slade School of Fine Art, Central Saint Martins and the Art Academy of Latvia.

Alongside studio provision, the award offers opportunities to connect with artists, curators and writers, as well as tailored professional development through mentoring, workshops and masterclasses. The programme places a strong emphasis on peer learning, collaboration and artist-led outcomes, including opportunities to develop and present work publicly.

Over 12 months, the recipient will receive:

• 24-hour access to a secure shared studio in London
• Practical and pastoral support from Acme's experienced team and arts professionals
• Membership of a supportive cohort of early career artists
• One-to-one mentoring sessions and group workshops delivered by industry professionals
• A dedicated budget to develop and publicly present new work

The award is designed to help artists deepen their practice, expand their networks and establish an active public profile. Applications are open to fine artists who have recently completed an MA, MFA or equivalent programme.

By honouring Olivia's legacy and her passion for art, you are helping an emerging artist gain the space, support and opportunities needed to build a lasting career in the visual arts.
