Stefania began to exhibit her photographs in 1985, showing images from her travels in Europe, Asia and America, a selection of which was published in the book Ticino and Its Photographers (1987). The following year she won first prize in the Ticino Society of Fine Art’s photographic prize. In 1988 Stefania was the recipient of a national scholarship from the Gleyre Foundation, and in 2009 The Bogliasco Foundation and the Liguria Study Center for the Arts and Humanities Genoa, granted her a one-month fellowship. Recent high profile exhibitions include the group show Eyes on Paris, Deichtorhallen, Hamburg (2011), Kunstmuseum Pablo Picasso, Münster (2015), and the solo show Una segnaletica dell’Essere, Municipal Museum of Art, Ascona (2016).
