Emanuel Almborg’s process often results in moving image artworks, but incudes research driven collaborations and situations. Emanuel’s research probes complex social and political questions and forms relationships between historical and contemporary events.

Emanuel was a participant in the Whitney Independent Study Programme, New York City (2014-15) and is currently a PhD candidate at The Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm. He has had solo exhibitions at the Whitechapel Gallery, London (2017); Konsthall C, Stockholm (2012); Muro Gallery, Geneva (2011) and Formcontent, London (2009) and has had work featured in group exhibitions at Turf Projects, London (2018); Participant Inc, New York (2018); Moderna Museet, Stockholm (2018); Centre de Pompidou, Paris (2010) and Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm (2010).

Iaspis, Sweden

Iaspis is the Swedish Arts Grants Committee's International Program supporting international exchange for practitioners in the areas of visual art, design, craft and architecture. Iaspis' activities aim to enable professionals to develop artistically and improve their working conditions by establishing international contacts between practitioners and professionals such as curators and critics and others active in the field.
