Geraldine Swayne is a painter, musician and experimental film maker. She has recorded two albums and toured widely with the Krautrock group Faust, and made musical improvisations and live paintings at the Wrexner Centre for the Arts in Ohio, Detroit Museum of Contemporary Art and CalArts. She was also nominated to the list of 'top ten art/music cross-over artists' by Dazed Magazine in 2014.

Geraldine was a finalist in the 2010 John Moores painting prize, Walker Gallery, Liverpool, and winner of the 2018 Sunny Duprey Jury Prize 2018, Royal Academy Summer show. Recent exhibitions include Telescope, Jerwood Gallery, Hastings 2019, Women Can't Paint, Turps and ASC Gallery, London, 2018, Aeroplastics, Brussels, 2017, Silvering. Fine Art Society, London, 2017, Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am, Charlie Dutton, Beijing, 2016 and Were Still Here, Magasin3, Stockholm, 2014.

Fire Station Residency

Acme's residency at the Fire Station is one of the most directly supportive schemes for artists in the United Kingdom, providing combined studio and living space at low rents, as well as a half rent residency for a deaf or disabled artist.
