Aargauer Kuratorium Residency
Bodo Maier, born in 1985, is a trumpeter and composer based in Zurich. He has dealt intensively with Jazz and improvisation since a young age. After 5 years of studies at the Hochschule Luzern – Musik, he graduated with a Master of Arts in Music Education in 2011.
Bojo has collaborated with numerous musicians such as Raul de Souza, Delinquent Habits, Matthias Rüegg (Vienna Art Orchestra), Elliot Randall (Steely Dan , London Blusion, Joseph Bowie, Brassroots, Patrick Alan (Motown Revue), Django Bates, Peter Evans, George Anderson (Shakatak), David Liebman, Barry Guy, St. Petersburg Improvisers Orchestra , Aaron Liddard (Amy Winehouse) , Sid Gauld, Francesco Mendolia (Incognito), Harald Härter, Yelfris Valdés , Cesar Correa, Joe Haider, Linsey Alexander, Divertimento, Christy Doran's New Bag, Roberto Koch, DJ Bobo, Nolosé (support Havanna D'Primera), and Miss Saigon Musical (Westend Production).
Aargauer Kuratorium, Switzerland
Aargauer Kuratorium has worked in partnership with Acme to develop and provide a London-based artists' residency since 1999. Based in Bow, E3, the residency enables a wide spectrum of practitioners connected with the Canton of Aargau, Switzerland, to undertake two six month long work/live residencies per year. Artist application and selection are conducted directly by Aargauer Kuratorium.
