The Acme Echo was Acme’s first newsletter, written by Claire Smith and published monthly between 1974 and 1975. It provided introductions to new houses and tenants, useful information and small ads, and provides an insight into the social nature of the early years of the Acme Housing Association.
Issue 7, from March 1975, features minutes of the first Acme Gallery Programme Committee meeting, an invitation to Claire’s Kitchen (a monthly meal cooked and provided at cost price for Acme artists and friends and a highly 'do it yourself' event), a birth announcement and several small ads.
