Tobias Pingler was a musician, actor, slam poet and author from Switzerland. He had an early occupation with the drums and attended drama school in Freiberg. He began rapping at the age of 16 and collaborating with jazz musicians from the age of 20, which is when he also began working as an actor.

Tobias’ musical contributions as Toby Tiger and Tobias B Babe included the radio plays Job center, game for your life, Toby Tiger & Jahcoozi, Toby Tiger presentz: Hip Hop Stories, and Slam Poetry, Bastard Volksbühne, Curve Star Berlin. He appeared at Zurich Jazznojazz Festival and Swiss New Jazz Festival and also on television and in short films including, Alles auf die 17, The shit, for spoken word Berlin, Missing sunsets and Nightmare. He also published in magazines such as, July and Switzerland on Sunday.

Aargauer Kuratorium, Switzerland

Aargauer Kuratorium has worked in partnership with Acme to develop and provide a London-based artists' residency since 1999. Based in Bow, E3, the residency enables a wide spectrum of practitioners connected with the Canton of Aargau, Switzerland, to undertake two six month long work/live residencies per year. Artist application and selection are conducted directly by Aargauer Kuratorium.
