Christoph Gallio is a saxophonist and composer. He studied classical saxophone with Iwan Roth at the Basel conservatory and music with Steve Lacy in Paris. In 1987 Christoph won the Action Arts Price of the city of Basel, in 2009 the Berlin Atelier and, the Buenas Aires Atelier of the City of Baden in 2017. Christoph has been the lead in the trio DAY & TAXI (today with bass player Silvan Jeger and drummer Gerry Hemingway) since 1988. He lives in Baden, Switzerland, and has toured nationally and internationally.

Aargauer Kuratorium, Switzerland

Aargauer Kuratorium has worked in partnership with Acme to develop and provide a London-based artists' residency since 1999. Based in Bow, E3, the residency enables a wide spectrum of practitioners connected with the Canton of Aargau, Switzerland, to undertake two six month long work/live residencies per year. Artist application and selection are conducted directly by Aargauer Kuratorium.
