Acme Alumni Residency
2019

Daniel Cockburn is a Canadian filmmaker and artist whose work deals in language, rhythm and thought experiments. Daniel has also furthered his exploration of live performance since completing his Associate Artist Residency with Acme in 2017, and aims to develop this, alongside the creation of a new screenplay, during his time on the Alumni Residency.

In 2018, Daniel was selected for the Waveform artist development programme as part of Flatpack Festival, Birmingham. He has previously exhibited at Film Studies Association of Canada, Toronto; Impakt Festival, Utretcht; Kino Arsenal, Berlin; and his feature film 'You Are Here' (2010) was presented at a number of international film festivals, including Toronto Film Festival and the European Media Art Festival.

Acme Alumni Residency

Acme’s Alumni Residency is open to artists who have previously benefited from Acme’s support, and who are once again in a position to benefit from a supported studio environment. The residency provides the time and space for artists to focus on their practice at a critical point or project in their career, within the context of a mixed studio environment and wider community of long-term studio holders.
