Christian Müller is clarinetist and electronic-musician with a passion for experimental noise, transdisciplinary collaborations and being 'en route'. He completed his classical studies at the Conservatory for Music & Theatre in Berne and has worked since then as an improvising electronic-musician, electro-acoustic bass-clarinetist and composer.

Christain is part of the duo Strøm (with Gaudenz Badrutt) and together they have realized numerous national and international projects. He has created sound installations and audiovisual pieces and also worked in multimedia-based contexts with dancers and performers. Christian has collaborated with the musicians Christian Kobi, Martin Schütz, Hans Koch, Tomas Korber, Jonas Kocher, Bertrand Denzler, Jacques Demierre, Michael Thieke, Julian Sartorius, Burkhard Beins, Oren Ambarchi, Kurt Liedwart, Ilia Belorukov, Alexei Borisov, dieb13, Yan Jun, Cristián Alvear, and Loenel Kaplan. Since 2010 he has worked with the writer Regina Dürig as Butterland, an interdisciplinary project that combines text and sound.

Christian also works in various bands like DEER, IMO, Convulsif or Myrmek. He has composed the music for theatre and dance performances, and works regularly with the director Barbara-David Brüesch and the Vienna based Mexican-Swiss dance and performance company nadaproductions.

Landis & Gyr Stiftung, Switzerland

The Landis & Gyr foundation awards studio scholarships to Swiss artists and cultural professionals in London, Budapest, Sofia and Zug. Its London-based residency partnership with Acme was established in 1987, and provides six month long work/live opportunities for ten Swiss artists per year. Artists are selected for the programme directly by Landis & Gyr Stiftung and must demonstrate a track record of achievement in their field. Over two hundred visual artists, curators, writers, musicians and composers have benefitted from the programme. Residencies are based in Stepney, E1 and are available to Swiss residents only
