Jürg Halter is a writer and musician, and a pioneer of the new German-language spoken word movement. His work is published in audio and book form, including We fear the end of music, 2014, The 48-hour poem, 2016 , with Tanikawa Shuntaro, and the story of the moon runner, 2017, which was developed as a play and performed at the Konzert Theater Bern and Deutsches Theater Berlin for the Autorentheatertage. His debut novel Awakening in the 21st Century was awarded the 2018 Literature Prize of the Canton of Bern.

Often working collaboratively, he created The Resort - A Singing Game About the Tragic End of Self-Optimization with composer and musician Elia Rediger for the Konzert Theater Bern in 2019. He is an honorary advisory board member of the Bern University of the Arts and a member of the patronage committee for the PBZ Pestalozzi Library, Zurich.

Landis & Gyr Stiftung, Switzerland

The Landis & Gyr foundation awards studio scholarships to Swiss artists and cultural professionals in London, Budapest, Sofia and Zug. Its London-based residency partnership with Acme was established in 1987, and provides six month long work/live opportunities for ten Swiss artists per year. Artists are selected for the programme directly by Landis & Gyr Stiftung and must demonstrate a track record of achievement in their field. Over two hundred visual artists, curators, writers, musicians and composers have benefitted from the programme. Residencies are based in Stepney, E1 and are available to Swiss residents only
