Thomas Roth is a Swedish artist and designer. His practice encompasses sculptural relief work and photography, both of which he uses to explore light and form, perception of an image surface and the illusion of change. Thomas also works in the advertising sector as an Art Director and has been received over 300 awards for his contribution to this industry.
Recent solo exhibitions include: Absence of Hue, Lois Lambert Gallery, Santa Monica, USA (2019); White, Tansey Contemporary, Santa Fe, USA (2016); and Retrospective, Urban Arts, Östersund, Sweden (2015). Corporate commissions include Volvo, Kodak, Intel, IBM, Cisco, Microsoft, and Visa, and his work is also displayed in the Four Season’s Hotel in Austin, Texas as a part of their permanent collection.
Hessische Kulturstiftung, Germany
Acme has managed a residency programme on behalf of Hessische Kulturstiftung since 1995, located on Lyal Road, Bow, E3. Residencies are awarded to artists for a period of 12 months, and the size of the accommodation enables the artist to bring their family or dependents for the length of residency. Based in a residential area populated by many artists, the house is well situated for access to other arts spaces and central London. Residencies are open to all artists from Germany. Applications and selection are dealt with directly by Hessische Kulturstiftung.
