Richard Giblett

Richard Giblett was an artist who worked primarily in sculpture, installation, painting and collage. His work explored systems, networks, the visual appearance of built environments and the phenomena that occur in their connections.
Richard’s exhibitions include presentations for the National Gallery of Victoria Triennial, Melbourne, 2017; Art Basel, Hong Kong, 2015; Lisbon Architecture Triennial, 2016; Heide Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne, 2011; The Art Gallery of Western Australia, Perth, 2005 and 2009; Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne, 2006; Gertrude Contemporary, Melbourne, 2004, and Perth Institute of Contemporary Art, 1996, 2006. His work is held in the permanent collections of The National Gallery of Victoria; Artbank Australia; The Art Gallery of Western Australia, Perth; The Besen Collection, Melbourne and Chanel Ltd, Paris.

Since 1992, the Australia Council for the Arts has partnered with Acme to provide London work/live residency opportunities for Australian visual artists. These residencies are located at Acme's Fire Station in Poplar, E14. Application and selection is undertaken directly by the Australia Council for the Arts.
