Martina Weber is a Swiss artist and filmmaker. Martina began working with projectors and slides, projecting images into rooms and onto objects before photographing and projecting again to create multi-layered installations, films and photographic prints. More recently, Martina has turned to digital media, using her laptop and its pre-loaded software to produce complex and shimmering investigations into light, objects and texture.
Martina has exhibited throughout Switzerland, including solo exhibitions at Kunstvitrine Palace, St. Gallen (2015); Architekturforum Ostschweiz, St. Gallen (2012); Theater Roxy, Birsfelden (2011); and at Kunstraum Winterthur, Winterthur (2010).
Aargauer Kuratorium, Switzerland
Aargauer Kuratorium has worked in partnership with Acme to develop and provide a London-based artists' residency since 1999. Based in Bow, E3, the residency enables a wide spectrum of practitioners connected with the Canton of Aargau, Switzerland, to undertake two six month long work/live residencies per year. Artist application and selection are conducted directly by Aargauer Kuratorium.
