Gregory Gilmour is an Australian artist, based in Sydney and Brisbane. Gregory’s work explores sustainable craft and industrial practices in a world increasingly concerned with the impact of human activity on the planet’s liveability. His work has been widely published in Home magazine, USA; Interior Architecture, Australia and USA; Architectural Review; Frame, international edition; Monument; and features in The Crafts Movement in Australia: A History, by Grace Cochrane (1992), as well as Public Art and Practice: East + West by Martha Liew.
Gregory's exhibitions include: Index 89 and Index 90, Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour (1989, 1990); Are you comfortable? Then we’ll begin ... (1991) and JamFactory Biennial, JamFactory, Adelaide (2001); Contemporary Furniture Four, Queensland Crafts Council Gallery, Brisbane (1995) and Silky Oak, Museum of Brisbane (2009). His Tame Bualo café chair (1990) is in the permanent collection the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.

Since 1992, the Australia Council for the Arts has partnered with Acme to provide London work/live residency opportunities for Australian visual artists. These residencies are located at Acme's Fire Station in Poplar, E14. Application and selection is undertaken directly by the Australia Council for the Arts.
