Fiona McMonagle

Fiona McMonagle is a Melbourne-based contemporary watercolour artist whose work explores female identity, suburban youth culture, class in Australian society, and celebrity culture.
Fiona’s recent exhibitions include: The Weekend, Sophie Gannon Gallery, Melbourne, 2018, Hugo Michell, Adelaide, 2017, Heiser Gallery, Brisbane, 2017, Do I Look Like I Care, La Trobe University Museum of Art (LUMA), curated by Dr Vincent Alessi, 2016, and Olsen Irwin Gallery, Sydney, 2013. Fiona won UQ Art Museum's National Self-Portrait Prize in 2015, and in 2016 she was included in the Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art: Magic Object at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

Since 1992, the Australia Council for the Arts has partnered with Acme to provide London work/live residency opportunities for Australian visual artists. These residencies are located at Acme's Fire Station in Poplar, E14. Application and selection is undertaken directly by the Australia Council for the Arts.
