Andreas Johansson
Iaspis
2017/18
Andreas Johansson makes collages, pop-up books, sculptures and installations by working photography into miniature re-constructed landscapes, considering how people perceive space and how our self-image reflects the way we look at our surroundings. Much of Andreas’ work stems from his personal history and features representations of skateboarding culture set against the backdrop of urban environments.
Andreas has exhibited widely, at Norrköping Art Museum, Sweden (2016); Market Art Fair, Stockholm, Sweden (2016), Bildmuséet, Umeå, Sweden (2014), Bendixen Contemporary, Copenhagen, Denmark (2013) and has been granted several scholarships and residencies including the Cité des arts, Paris (2016) and Headlands Centre for the Arts, USA (2020).
