Open House Festival 2025 at Acme Propeller Factory

On Saturday 20 September, we are opening our doors again for Open House Festival.

Join us to explore the building through guided tours, discover its history and meet artists who’ve been part of its community for decades.

We are also hosting a talk led by Acme Archive placement researcher Charlie Clark, with Natasha Eves, Mati Araoz and Kelly Lloyd. Acme’s 2023 Artist Tenant Survey revealed that the economic, social, and political pressures of recent years are significantly impacting artists’ resilience.

This panel brings together artists, studio providers, and researchers to speak from direct experience — not only as tenants, organisers, and community members, but as cultural workers negotiating the challenges of access, affordability, and long-term sustainability in the city.
