Lisa Sammut is a Kamberri/Canberra based visual artist known for poetic, intuitive and experiential works including video, photography, sculpture and installation. Using a wide range of media, she positions the cosmos as a material and conceptual framework for exploring the parallels between interplanetary forms and forces and the dynamics of our social, political and personal worlds. Since completing an MFA by Research at UNSW Art & Design in 2018, Lisa has exhibited widely in Australia including recent exhibitions at The Art Gallery of NSW, Art Gallery of South Australia, Buxton Contemporary, UNSW Galleries and Murray Art Museum Albury. She recently undertook a residency at Canberra Glassworks and a Beinecke Rare Books Library Research Fellowship at Yale University.
