Tiffany Parbs
Australia Council for the Arts Residency
2012/13
Tiffany Parbs is a conceptual jeweller whose practice actively seeks to expand existing definitions of jewellery using her body as a primary reference. Concerned with the idea of a worn body, Tiffany observes how people live within their skin, express value and present a sense of self to others, and the way these communications are interpreted through various media frameworks.
Tiffany’s work has been showcased widely, in exhibitions at The Australian Design Museum (touring 2020-2023), The Museum Arnhem, Netherlands (2019), Dowse Art Museum, New Zealand (2018), National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne (2014), and Design Museum London (2013). Her work is represented in the Modern Jewellery Collection National Museums of Scotland Edinburgh UK, Manchester Metropolitan University Special Collections Manchester UK, Rare Books Collection State Library of Victoria Melbourne, Australia and is referenced in numerous contemporary jewellery publications, worldwide.
