Benny Jaberg is a Swiss film director who earned a master's in film and directing at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) in 2010.
Benny’s first feature length and award-winning documentary for cinema Daniel Schmid – Le chat qui pense (a documentary about the late Swiss filmmaker Daniel Schmid) premiered in the Panorama of the Berlinale 2010. It has been shown at several film festivals worldwide, in Chicago, Pusan and Buenos Aires, and received the Babelsberg Media Prize for the best newcomer film. Benny has also received the Swiss Film Award for Best Short Film for The Green Serpent in 2014 and the German Camera Prize for image design in the documentary Not Me - A Journey with Not Vital in 2020.
Aargauer Kuratorium, Switzerland
Aargauer Kuratorium has worked in partnership with Acme to develop and provide a London-based artists' residency since 1999. Based in Bow, E3, the residency enables a wide spectrum of practitioners connected with the Canton of Aargau, Switzerland, to undertake two six month long work/live residencies per year. Artist application and selection are conducted directly by Aargauer Kuratorium.
