Ajim Juxta (Raja Azeem Idzham) is a visual artist formally trained in architecture. After graduation, Ajim worked as an architect for three years before becoming a full-time artist. His work spans several mediums, including pen and ink, found-object sculptures and paintings on canvas. Influences of architecture are apparent in Ajim’s use of lines and structures, akin to organic blueprints. Ajim draws upon ideas of dystopian realities that many have ended up being in whilst in pursuit of personal utopias.
Ajim has been exhibiting extensively since 2009 including participating in several public art projects. Recent solo exhibitions have taken place at Galeri Titikmerah, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Vinyl on Vinyl Gallery, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines; Hin Bus Depot, George Town, Penang, Malaysia; PAM Centre, Kuala Lumpur; Wicked Art Space, Kelana Jaya, Malaysia; Artemis Art, Publika, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Ragamasa, Galeri Titikmerah, Art Row, Publika, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Khazanah Nasional, in collaboration with Acme, developed the Khazanah Nasional Associate Artist Residency Programme (KAAR), a 12-week residency programme catered for emerging Malaysian artists based at Acme studios. An initiative under the Khazanah Residency Programme, the KAAR is an annual programme designed to develop and prepare young artists for the next growth phase in their professional careers. Typically, artists for the KAAR are nominated by galleries and residencies in Malaysia and subsequently selected by Khazanah Nasional and Acme.
