Werner Rohner, was born in 1975 in Grenoble. In 2014 Rohner published his first novel Das Ende der Schonzeit at Lenos for which he won the Werkjahr der Stadt Zürich and was nominated for the Rauriser Literaturpreis. In 2017 the book was translated into French, Fin de Trêve, bei Les Editions de l´Aires. In 2018, together with Katja Brunner, he published the collection Wie weit du genetisch vom Raubtier entfernt bist. In 2020 his second novel, Was möglich ist, was published by Lenos, and subsequently was awarded the Anerkennungspreis of the canton Zurich. In 2022 he published his first novel for kids, Mehr als ein Wunsch, which was awarded with the Kranichsteiner Literaturstipendium. Additionally he published three picture books Hier bin ich doch!, Das Märchen vom Meerchen und Tote Traurige Tiere. 2023 the theater piece Fremdes Vertrauen premiered, which he co-authored with Ruth Schweikert.

Landis & Gyr Stiftung, Switzerland

The Landis & Gyr foundation awards studio scholarships to Swiss artists and cultural professionals in London, Budapest, Sofia and Zug. Its London-based residency partnership with Acme was established in 1987, and provides six month long work/live opportunities for ten Swiss artists per year. Artists are selected for the programme directly by Landis & Gyr Stiftung and must demonstrate a track record of achievement in their field. Over two hundred visual artists, curators, writers, musicians and composers have benefitted from the programme. Residencies are based in Stepney, E1 and are available to Swiss residents only
