Crescentia Dünßer is a German actress and director, best known for her roles in Warchild (2006); If It Don't Fit, Use a Bigger Hammer (2002); and Waller's Last Trip (1989). In 1986, Crescentia founded the Zelt Ensemble Theatre with Otto Kukla, performing their own productions in a 600-capacity circus tent and at festivals throughout Germany. In 1993, their work together earned Crescentia and Otto a director’s award, and the pair went onto be co-directors of the Zimmer Theater Tübingen until 1996, followed by five years at the Theater Neumarkt in Zürich.
Crescentia has also directed plays at the Stuttgart StateTheatre, the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, the Karlsruhe State Theatre, Altes Schauspielhaus Stuttgart, Theater Baden-Baden, Theater Lübeck, amongst others.
Landis & Gyr Stiftung, Switzerland
The Landis & Gyr foundation awards studio scholarships to Swiss artists and cultural professionals in London, Budapest, Sofia and Zug. Its London-based residency partnership with Acme was established in 1987, and provides six month long work/live opportunities for ten Swiss artists per year. Artists are selected for the programme directly by Landis & Gyr Stiftung and must demonstrate a track record of achievement in their field. Over two hundred visual artists, curators, writers, musicians and composers have benefitted from the programme. Residencies are based in Stepney, E1 and are available to Swiss residents only
