Neil Exeter
Sugarhouse Work/Live Residency Programme
2007
Neil Exeter is a British artist living and working in Cumbria. Neil produces colourful, abstract paintings that explore the expressive qualities of his medium. Working largely in oil on canvas, he is able to create intricately layered artworks that suggest both an interest in pattern and figuration.
Neil has exhibited his paintings around the UK, most recently in Tullie House, Cumbria (2012); Upfront Gallery, Cumbria (2010, 2009); and Lethaby Galleries, London (2002).
Sugarhouse Work/Live Residency Programme
Based on the model of the Fire Station programme, the Sugarhouse Work/Live Residency Programme was designed in response to the
lack of affordable space in London for artists to work and live in. The project
was developed in partnership with Solon Co-operative Housing Services
and the Boss Group and received funding from the Housing Corporation and
Stratford Development Partnership.
