Due to an artist move we have a work/live studio vacancy available to let at Acme’s High House building in Thurrock from July/August 2022 - 31 August 2024.

Acme’s studio development at High House opened in 2013 and includes four purpose-built work/live units. These residential studios are on the 2nd floor of the building which includes 39 purpose-built artists’ studios, with lift accessibility to all floors.


About the
work/live studio vacancy
The rent for the studio is £600 month, excluding individual electricity and council tax. The rental charge is fixed for the duration of the tenancy.*

The studio measures 52 square meters (approx. 560 sq ft) with 3m high ceilings. The unit consists of a main studio area with a separated bed space, bathroom and kitchen, and is suitable for single occupation or by a couple. Hot water is provided by an electric boiler and the studio is fitted with wall mounted electric heaters. Fibre Optic Wi-Fi is included.


Location

The High House Studios Park is located out of London in the borough of Thurrock. The studios are near to Purfleet Railway Station which is just under a mile from the Park and C2C trains run directly to London Fenchurch Street in 30 minutes and Barking in 15 minutes.  For more information visit High House 


Viewing the
work/live studio
We encourage all interested artists to attend a viewing of the studio and to visit the High House Production Park (or send someone on your behalf) before making an application.

We are conducting viewings on Friday 6 May and Saturday 7 May 2022. To book a timed appointment please email worklive@acme.org.uk

Complete the application form before midnight Sunday 22 May 2022.

The form will ask for information about your current housing and studio circumstances and details of your financial need. This will need to be completed along with a C.V.

Shortlisted artists will be invited for an informal interview on Thursday 9 June 2022.

*Acme’s work/live studios are for UK based fine artists (e.g. painting, drawing, sculpture, print-making, fine art photography, installation, performance, multi-media, video and time-based work, socially engaged or participatory practice). These studios are not available for those working in design, fashion, music or commercial photography.
