Greta Davies

Adrian Carruthers Award
2018/19

Greta Davies works across paint, print, digital photography, stop motion animation, projection and installation. Over the years her works have explored everyday space and architecture, with a particular interest in the unnoticed and not easily accessible places that usually pass us by.

Greta was selected for the 2018/19 Adrian Carruthers Award by artist Jo Brennan, Lea O’Loughlin (Head of Residencies & Awards, Acme) and Charlie Coffey (Residencies & Awards Manager, Acme) from a shortlist of six MFA graduate artists from Slade School of Art, London.

Adrian Carruthers Award

The Adrian Carruthers Award is a partnership between Acme and the Slade School of Fine Art, funded by Acme and the Adrian Carruthers Memorial Fund. With the goal of providing a bridge between college and professional practice, the award includes a bursary, rent-free studio space and a mentoring programme tailored specifically to the graduate’s practice. Recipients of Acme’s Graduate Award Programme occupy shared and adjacent studio space in order to foster and encourage a greater degree of peer support and an environment of growth, risk-taking and excellence.
