Australia Council for the Arts Residency
Diana Baker Smith works across performance, moving image and installation, drawing on feminist methods and practices to explore the relationship between art history and its institutions. Diana’s essays and performance texts have been published widely and she has curated several exhibitions and performance programmes.
Through her solo practice and as a member of the art collective Barbara Cleveland, her work has been exhibited at the 20th Biennale of Sydney, Sydney Opera House, Art Gallery of NSW, Museum of Contemporary Art and Artspace, Sydney, The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art and The National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne; Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide, Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, Physics Room, Christchurch; The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul and Hayward Gallery, London.

Since 1992, the Australia Council for the Arts has partnered with Acme to provide London work/live residency opportunities for Australian visual artists. These residencies are located at Acme's Fire Station in Poplar, E14. Application and selection is undertaken directly by the Australia Council for the Arts.
