Acme Project Space
The Acme Project Space ran from June 2009 to December 2015. It provided an opportunity for those artists who are part of our Residency & Awards Programme and our International Residencies Programme with a public space within which to develop projects, show new work and engage in a critical dialogue with a wider audience.

Margarida Gouveia, Tina Isabella Hild, Martin Karlsson and Irene Müller met in London while on international artist residencies managed by Acme International Residencies Programme.
This exhibition is the result of the artists’ dialogue throughout their 12 month residencies.
The exhibition title is taken from French poet Isidor Ducasse and alludes to the curatorial and artistic potential deriving from chance meetings with and between artists.
During their stay in London the artists have adopted new impulses to their work. They have developed site-specific works (Karlsson), extended large installations (Hild) and investigated new media experimentally (Gouveia).
The exhibition focuses upon the aspect of a chance meeting and presents the independence of each artistic position, while also accentuating those areas in which unsuspected connections and communal interests are expressed in the form of a latent dialogue.
Supported by the artists’ individual residency organisations this exhibition is hosted by Acme IRP as a collaborative project on behalf of our residency clients. It is the first Acme IRP exhibition in our newly acquired Acme Project Space.
